We have recently removed all the SonicWall SonicProtect subscriptions and hardware (read about the 'promo' here).
It is so much better value to but a Secure Upgrade promotion, and you aren't stuck with having to upgrade to the same model in the range. For example, if upgrading a TZ400, with SonicProtect you would be forced to buy the TZ480 (at an increased price over the same Secure Upgrade model). Also, with Secure Upgrade you could move from the TZ400 to another model in the Gen 8 range like the TZ380 or TZ580 if your needs have changed.
