SonicWall NSv L
NSv L is the top of the Gen 8 NSv line — it runs SonicOSX 8.0, scales to 15,000 SSO users, and tops out at 14 Gbps of firewall inspection throughput, matching the older physical NSv 870 on raw throughput. It's the model SonicWall points to for midrange businesses and enterprise datacenters needing serious DPI and microsegmentation across private cloud platforms.
All four run across VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM, and Proxmox (Gen 8's new addition), plus AWS/Azure with BYOL or PAYG licensing, and all carry the same RTDMI/RFDPI/Capture ATP engines and embedded Cysurance cyber warranty - the differentiation is purely core count, throughput, and SSO user scale as you move XS → S → M → L.
